How to not be intimidated in the gym

Females feel intimidated when they enter the gym for the first time is not uncommon. If this is you, you are not alone. & "Most people don't know what they're doing," Perkins said. Exercise at a slower time: Most gyms are busy before and after work. If you can avoid the crowd, you may feel less afraid, comas said. Wear comfortable clothes: Don't wear them just because you think they are what you should wear. After all, when you feel uncomfortable wearing your clothes, there is nothing worse than working out. Start with a set of weights: Another good strategy is to find routines that can be completed with only a set of weights. In this way, you can grab your dumbbell at the beginning of the training and find a quiet corner to do your routine. & "It's a good way to adapt to the environment without having to look for devices," comas said. < p > < p > < strong > 4. Take baby steps: If you can't muster up the courage to go to the gym, take baby steps. A week, wear sportswear and exercise at home. The next week, put on your sportswear and drive to the gym - don't go in. Step by step, until you finally start exercising for the first time. & "It sounds trivial, but it can have incredible effects," comas said. < p > < p > < strong > 5. Find a Fitness Partner: If you can, find a friend to join. & "If you have friends or some kind of support system around you, everything won't be so terrible," comas said.

Finally, know that you have the right to enter the weight-loss room. If someone makes you uncomfortable or feels you don't belong to that space, don't be afraid to talk to management, says comas.
