What You Don't Know About Your Toothpaste That It Can Cause Canker Sores
Canker sores and toothpastes are being linked and you won't even believe that your toothpaste can cause pain and canker sores. Mostly these are being experienced by individuals with sensitivity or allergies with the common ingredients found in the most toothpaste brands and it is called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). The ingredient can also be found in other oral health products such as mouthwashes, its only use is to create foaming. And it has been proven that this ingredient can cause damage to the oral tissues and leads into canker sores as reaction from chemical irritation.
Canker sores brings discomfort when eating, drinking, speaking and swallowing. There is no known cure yet for canker sores, although it may be prevented through paying attention to your oral health hygiene. Brushing and flossing prevents bacteria to grow in the mouth. Bacteria causes infection and other common oral health conditions. If canker sore occurs, there are natural oral health care products available to relieve the pain it brought.
