The avocado is considered as super cancer-fighting food. It contains many types of antioxidants, vitamins and other phytochemicals that have been found to have cancer-fighting properties. Avocados contain carotenoids such as alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, and zeaxanthin, which have the ability to reduce the chances of developing breast cancer, throat cancer, and prostate cancer.
Avocados also contain lutein, which reduces the chances of cancer in women. It also contains oleic acid, which according to several studies, reduces the risk of several forms of cancer. Avocados also have high levels of an antioxidant called glutathione, which detoxifies the body and prevents the growth of cancerous cells.
